Innovation brings us closer to nature

Origine by Diam® range is the culmination of the patient work of our R&D department. It combines the “fleur de liège” (suberin) with a binding agent made of bio-sourced polyols and a beeswax emulsion. Tested and approved by several laboratories, this binding agent is a real technological breakthrough that combines mechanical efficiency with respect for the environment. Stable and water repellent, the beeswax emulsion protects the closures from capillary migration and makes it possible to control their mechanical characteristics. The structure of a Diam Origine closure offers over time the security and consistency you expect from a Diam and new levels of permeability.

Based on environmentally-friendly innovations, the products Diam Origine by Diam® range are currently available in Diam 3, Diam 5, Diam 10 and Diam 30 closures.

Cork

a central element of a sustainable economy

The cork industry contributes considerably to maintaining our oak forests and to the economy of the cork-producing regions of the western Mediterranean and Europe’s southern Atlantic seaboard. Moreover, unlike alternative types of corks, our Diamant® system of cork purification uses very little energy.

Biobased binder

a real technological breakthrough

After many years of work, Diam Bouchage’s research and development teams have perfected a binding agent composed of 100% bio-based polyols, from a totally renewable source. Our stoppers will thus benefit from an innovative ingredient, exclusively of plant origin. Tested and approved by independent laboratories, this new binding agent is a real technological breakthrough, combining efficiency with respect for the environment.

Beeswax

100% natural

The beeswax used in Origine by Diam® corks is completely natural. It makes the corks totally watertight, protecting the wine against any capillary migration and protecting the integrity of the cork elasticity. As pollinators, bees contribute hugely to our biodiversity and to the life of mankind on Earth! In recognition of this, Diam Bouchage has decided to support for several years the association Un toit pour les abeilles.

Ok-biobased certification

Renewability of materials and products

Closures in the Origine range are accredited with a 4-star rating by the OK Biobased® label and have also received TüV Austria certification, which guarantees, after analysis, the organic origin of the carbon contained in the products. This is the highest level for this certification, attributed for a carbon rate of 80% to 100%, fixed by photosynthesis, contained in the closure.
